Why does my computer fail to recognise my module for firmware updating ?

First check the module’s manual. It usually includes an appendix explaining the firmware update process and how to enter update mode. In most cases, you connect the unpowered module to your computer via a side USB-C port, and it will appear as an external drive you can copy the firmware file onto.

If it does not appear please check that;

• Your USB cable must support data and shouldn't be a ‘charge only’ cable. Try a different cable if you’re not sure. Also try flipping the cable 180 degrees and reconnecting (both ends).
• The module is the only USB device directly connected to the computer (try without a hub if you are using one).

Failing all the above please try on a different computer.
