Why are the firmware files not recognised?

If you are having problems with a firmware update from a USB stick, please check the following;

• You’ve carefully read and followed the procedure outlined in the manual.
• The firmware file is correctly named ‘alm022-fw.bin’ and exists in the root (top level) of the USB stick, Check your computer hasn't renamed the file during download (i.e added a '-1' to it or similar).
• The USB stick is readable by the module (you can save/load banks to/from it without issues)
• If you still have issues, try booting the module with no USB stick inserted and the ‘Func’ button held down. Keep holding down ‘Func’ for approx 15 seconds, then release (screen will be blank) and then insert the USB stick containing the firmware file. Wait for approximately 30 seconds for the update to start (the screen should display that it is updating).
