How do I sync my DIN sync equipment to Pamela’s PRO Workout?
Using the ALM-UT001 Din-Sync Adapter Cable, two of Pamela’s PRO Workout’s outputs can be used to sync vintage drum machines and synthesisers that feature a DIN Sync socket:
- Set one of Pamela’s NEW Workout’s outputs x24.
- Set another output to ‘On’ (instead of a divisor/multiplier on the main modifier page).
- Connect the ALM Din-Sync adapter’s 3.5mm jacks, labeled ‘clock’ and ‘run’ to these outputs respectively.
- Connect a 5 Pin Din cable from the adapter to your external equipment’s DIN sync socket.
- If your equipment fails to respond to the Pam clock, check the cable you are using has all 5 pins connected. Not all midi cables do.
Note using either of the PPEXP1 or PPEXP2 expanders eliminates the need to use two dedicated channels.
The ALM-UT001 Din-Sync Adapter Cable can also be used to sync Pamela’s PRO Workout to your external equipment’s clock:
- Connect the adapter's ‘clock’ jack into Pamela’s PRO Workout’s clock input and the Run jack into the Run input.
- Make sure Pamela’s PRO Workout is set to expect a 24 PPQN clock and ‘Run’ is set to ‘Y’ (See these options by long holding on BPM screen).
